And yet another stunning sight in Edinburgh that you’d think you’d have to go to the country for, but nope, I took this while walking around the city.
It’s weird though, most of the buildings in Edinburgh have a similarly brownish colour. They kinda look like they’re always wet, even when they’re not.
I saw this nutty painting at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh. It’s baffling. Even the label next to it is basically like “I dunno, maybe the monkey represents vice?”
The National Monument of Scotland is up on a hill in Edinburgh. Apparently it’s known as Edinburgh’s Folly, because it was meant to be much more grand, but they almost immediately ran out of money.
Seems like a trap.
I was pretty shocked to stumble across a Tim Hortons in Glasgow (I didn’t realize they were in Europe). I went in to see if European Tim Hortons still had the tragically discontinued Walnut Crunch (R.I.P. Walnut Crunch — you were too beautiful for this world). No dice, sadly.
These are the cloisters at the University of Glasgow. That campus is absurdly ornate.
