What to Eat in Copenhagen, Denmark

Andersen Bakery – There are so many amazing bakeries in Copenhagen.  It’s ridiculous.

John’s Hotdog Deli – Best hot dog in the world?  Quite possibly!

Hart Bageri – This amazing bakery is the brainchild of Richard Hart and Rene Redzepi, and it’s just as amazing as you’d hope.

Harry’s Place – This tiny restaurant pretty much defines “hole in the wall.”  They serve an amazing pork sandwich.

McDonald’s – The Chicken and Hummus Salad at McDonald’s in Denmark might have been the least McDonald’sy thing I’ve ever eaten.

Meyers Bageri – I went to Meyers Bageri a couple of times; first, to try a croissant-like pastry called a tebirkes.  I also tried a pastry called vaniljesnegel, which is basically like a cinnamon roll without the cinnamon.

Skt. Peders Bageri – The cinnamon roll (called an onsdag snegle) at this delightful bakery is seriously delicious.

Steff’s Place – This hot dog stand in the Copenhagen Airport serves some tasty dogs.
