I’m just gonna say it.  Pastries in Copenhagen > pastries in Paris.

Yeah, that’s right.  I went there.

I had several pastries in Paris that were just okay, or even downright mediocre; in Copenhagen, on the other hand, every single one I tried was a home run.  To be fair, I was in Paris for way longer than I was in Copenhagen, and sampled many, many more pastries.

Still.  I stand by it.

My latest (and, sadly, last) pastry in Copenhagen: a classic kanelsnegle from Andersen Bakery.

It’s a stellar cinnamon roll.  I think I preferred the onsdag snegle I had at Skt. Peders Bageri — it was slighter richer, with a gooier cinnamony hit.  But there was absolutely nothing wrong with what they’re serving here.

The pastry itself was so good — slightly chewy, super fresh, and really satisfying.  And the cinnamon flavour you get from the combo of the cinnamon filling and the icing on top is irresistible, with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Seriously.  Go to Copenhagen and tell me the pastries aren’t at least as good as what you can get in Paris, if not better.  I dare you.
