The outside of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery — the brand new, world’s largest location of a Starbucks — is quite nice.

But how’s the inside, I’m sure you’re wondering.

Um…  I don’t know.

I showed up at around 10:00 AM on a recent Saturday morning (and yes, trying to do this on a Saturday was almost certainly pure folly, so this is partially my fault), and the place was a complete madhouse.

There were dozens of people milling about, multiple line-ups (I think one was just to order, and then one or two others were to get in), employees holding up signs (in Japanese, of course), and a bunch of security guards to keep order.  Even if I wanted to spend a couple of hours waiting to get into a Starbucks, I wasn’t even sure where I was supposed to stand.

Location: 2 Chome-19-23 Aobadai, Meguro-ku, Tōkyō-to 153-0042

How to get there: It’s enormous and I’m sure there will be crazy crowds trying to get in for the foreseeable future, so it’s impossible to miss.
