Have you ever thought to yourself: “I like museums, but they don’t have enough sausage facts”?
I mean, haven’t we all?
Well, you’re in luck, because there’s a sausage museum in Tainan, and it’s free, so why not?
It’s actually pretty interesting; there’s a whole bunch of info on various types of sausages, and how sausages get made.
The whole thing was created by the Black Bridge sausage company, so as you’d expect, a big chunk of the museum is dedicated to the greatness of Black Bridge sausages. The whole third floor goes into the history of that company and how they make their sausages.
It’s not the biggest museum ever, but it’s a engaging enough way to spend half an hour or so.
And of course, after all that, you’re probably going to be hungry for sausages. There’s a gift shop on the first floor, along with a restaurant serving various Black Bridge products.
I got a grilled sausage, and it was quite tasty. It was extremely greasy and very sweet, but satisfying.
Location: No. 2-1號, Xinzhong Road, South District, Tainan City, Taiwan 702
How to find it: It’s an enormous building with the Black Bridge logo stamped all over it. It also says “Sausage Museum” in English, so it’s hard to miss.
