St. Paul’s Church is the oldest church in Southeast Asia, having originally been built all the way back in 1521.
It’s certainly not the most awe-inspiring building you’ll ever see, but there’s something fascinating about being in a building with that much history.
Inside are years-old tombstones from when the church was still active.
If you’re a tourist in Melaka, you’re basically obligated to come here, especially since it’s so close to other Melaka landmarks, like the Christ Church Melaka, an 18th century Anglican church.
That’s not to mention Jonker Walk, and a handful of other local sights. Pretty much all of the touristy stuff in Melaka is crammed into a very walkable area, which is always nice.
