Yep, another country, another visit to McDonald’s. Let’s do this.
The food at Disneyland/DisneySea in Tokyo was shockingly good. I was expecting something along the lines of Disneyland Paris, which was pretty much nothing but boring theme park staples like chicken strips, hot dogs, and hamburgers.
Instead, there was a veritable cornucopia of interesting (and surprisingly delicious) treats. It was so amazing that I felt compelled to write a whole post about it. So buckle up, because here’s a breakdown of everything I ate in both parks (it’s interesting, trust me! No? Everyone stopped reading several sentences ago? Yeah, I get it).
McDonald’s in China is an absolute treasure trove of menu oddities. It’s amazing. There were a few countries where I struggled to find even one or two things that I wanted to order; meanwhile, there was so much stuff I wanted to try in China that I actually wound up having two separate meals at McDonald’s.
Of all of the food you expect to be mind-blowing in Paris, ice cream is probably not particularly high on that list. And yet! Berthillon, my friends. Berthillon. It’s a place that’s famous enough that I had heard about it even before I started preparing for this trip, so obviously a visit was absolutely mandatory.
If you’ll recall, a bunch of terrorist jerkfaces did their stupid jerk thing in Barcelona and kind of made me question my desire to stay in Europe.
Well guess what, jerkfaces? I’m still here. And boy am I glad I am, because I’ve been in Naples less than a day and can already tell that the food here is, in the immortal words of Guy Fieri, out of bounds.
Who can say no to ham croquettes at McDonald’s? Or chicken wings? Well, most people, probably — not this guy.
I’m not very smart, you see. As most people would reasonably imagine, neither of these things were very good.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been going to the place since I was a kid, and thus have fuzzy childhood memories, but I like McDonald’s. I don’t eat there a whole lot, but every time they add something new to the menu, I feel compelled to check it out.
