I don’t normally post stuff like this, but this was such a pleasant surprise that I felt like I had to share.
If you’re flying out of the Copenhagen airport and want to buy water and some snacks, for the most part, you’re stuck with standard airport prices. It varies a bit from store to store, but most places sell bottles of water for between 20 and 25 kroner (about four or five bucks Canadian).
If you walk around a bit, however (it’s an enormous airport), you’ll eventually come across a location of Flying Tiger.
Here’s the delightful part: they sell everything for the exact same prices you’d find at one of their locations throughout the city. Which means you can get a bottle of water for 6.50, or just over a buck Canadian.
I bought four bottles of water, a package of six large stroopwafels, and two candy bars for a grand total of 46 DKK — about nine bucks. It would have cost me something like $40 to buy the same stuff anywhere else in the airport. So that was delightful.
(Yes, I could have saved even more money by coming prepared with my own snacks and a refillable water bottle, but what do I look like, Preparedy McPreparederson?)
