There’s not a whole lot to do at Lotus Pond — a big man-made body of water surrounded by colourful temples and pagodas — other than marvel at all of the pretty buildings, but it’s still absolutely worth a visit.
Why? Well, I think I’ll let the pictures do the talking. It’s an impressive place to walk around.
Plus, if you’re hungry, there’s a bunch of vendors selling various snacks. There are also about a billion bubble tea stands.
I got another millet doughnut, and though it wasn’t fresh from the fryer like the one I had in Tainan, it was just as tasty. The contrast between the crispy exterior and the ultra-chewy interior is dynamite.
