Yes, this is my third visit to McDonald’s in India, but how am I supposed to resist when they have so much oddball stuff like this on the menu?
The Chatpata Naan Aloo features a crispy potato/veggie patty topped with red onions and a spicy sauce, served in a naan.
It’s decent enough. The flavourful patty was nice and crispy on the outside, with a creamy interior. I think the sauce might have been the same one as on the Maharaja Mac; it was similarly sweet, zesty, and spicy.
The onions are mostly lost among the other strong flavours; they basically just add some crunchiness.
The naan was a bit too dense and dry — but they put the whole thing in a sandwich press until it crisps up a bit, which certainly helps.
I don’t know. It seems interesting until you actually start eating it, then it’s just sad because the food in India is so good. It’s a bit of a waste of a meal.
