Yes, I went to McDonald’s in India again.  The menu is so odd; I can’t help myself!  I may have a problem (this is the last time, I promise).

I mentioned in a previous post that the Veg Pizza McPuff might have been the worst thing I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s.  I take that back.  The Cheesy Rice Bowl easily takes that crown.  It’s horrific.

It’s weird how bad it is.  The bowl consists of the saltiest rice I’ve ever had, topped with mixed veggies and a bland, gloppy sauce that I guess is supposed to taste like cheese?  It has exactly zero cheese-like properties, but cheese is right there in the name so that must be what it is.

As bad as the sauce is, it’s the rice itself that makes this so awful.  If you saved up about a dozen instant noodle seasoning packets and then dumped them all into a very small quantity of rice, you’d wind up with something like this.

It’s almost inedibly salty, and it has the flavour you associate with the cheapest instant noodles you can buy — only multiplied by about a million.  It’s a face-punch of sharp, off-putting flavours, and it’s basically the worst.

I thought we were friends, McDonald’s.  How could you do this to me?
