I recently tried a place specializing in fries that was right around the corner from my Airbnb. It was quite good, but nothing about it knocked my socks off.
Frit Flagey, on the other hand, knocked my socks clean off. My feet? Totally bare. My socks? I don’t know, I can’t find them. I think they exploded.
I think the fries at Frit Flagey might have been the best that I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve eaten a lot of fries in my lifetime. Everything about them is perfect. Exterior crunch: perfect. Interior creaminess: perfect. Flavour: perfect. Salt level: perfect.
It’s hard to know if they’re actually the best fries I’ve ever had, but since I can’t think of a single way they could be improved, they’ve gotta be right up there.
I had them topped with Samurai sauce, which is a mayo-based sauce that’s creamy, tangy, and spicy. It’s a great compliment to some seriously amazing fries.
