Amorette’s Patisserie is a bakery in Disney Springs that sells some seriously fancy looking pastries.
When I went, pretty much everyone was ordering the Mickey Mousse, because look at that thing. Of course everyone was ordering it. It looks delightful.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t taste nearly as delightful as it looks.
It features chocolate chiffon cake, topped with dark chocolate mousse and white chocolate mousse. These are all (theoretically) delicious things. But the cake had an oddly tough texture and was difficult to even cut through with a fork. And both mousses were just generically sweet, without much of a flavour of anything — chocolate or otherwise. It was just sweet, mousse-like fluff.
It’s pretty much the ultimate in style over substance, but it’s hard to deny that it looks pretty irresistible.
