You can’t go wrong with fried cheese.  There’s something about the gooey/crispy contrast that’s always going to be satisfying.

McDonald’s in the Czech Republic has something on their menu called Cheese Wheels with Asparagus, and yeah — it’s good.  It’s a bit odd; it tastes kind of like a creamy asparagus soup, but gooier, cheesier, and deep fried.

The asparagus flavour is actually quite pronounced.  The filling is vaguely plasticky, but for the most part it’s creamy and gooey in a way that’s satisfying.  It’s quite tasty.

The other thing I tried is the Chocolate Grand McSundae, which consists of soft serve ice cream, cookie bits, hot fudge sauce, and whipped cream.

This was actually really good.  It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a McDonald’s sundae, but I’m pretty positive the hot fudge sauce here is superior to what they serve back home.  It has an admirably restrained sweetness and a very satisfying chocolatey flavour.  It’s delicious.

The soft serve is about what you’d expect, the cookie bits are nice and crunchy, and the whipped cream is actually whipped cream and not Cool Whip or something similar.  It’s a solid sundae.
